British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in London Chiswick. The Account Manager is the key contact between BAT and duty‑free customers. Acting as the sole representative of BAT, the Account Manager is tasked to drive BAT’s strategic agenda, utilising all tools available to drive profitability and strategic growths in one of the most important brand exposure channels in the globe.
Key responsibilities:- Manage the complete process for designated key clients and achieve volume, market share, and profit targets as per expectation.
- Lead commercial agreement negotiations for responsible key accounts and ensure BAT investments are applied in a balanced manner based on TCI principles to ensuring BAT’s fair share of net available.
- Seek and explore new business potential in line with company expectations and protocol.
- Building and developing customer relationships.
- Establish relationships with key staffs and board level of customers.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance and Brand Marketing to ensure alignment in the financial reviews and outstanding execution of the marketing plan.
- Handle the implementation of the account plan and ongoing measurement vs. set objectives.
- Support GTR Centre supply chain and key account personnel for a quality collaborative forecasting process.
- Increase legitimate volume and value potential of BAT brands in travel retail channels (border shops, diplomatic outlets, ferries, airlines).
- Lead the monthly forecast to sales cycle and the annual pricing review exercise.
- Align with and implement activities in accordance with regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.
- Strong trade marketing experience gained in a managerial position within a multinational company, or equivalent experience (preferably in key account management and in the FMCG segment).
- Strong analytical, customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Proven Business and Financial Acumen.
- Ability to influence collaborators.
- Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions and drive action plans within organizational policy.
- Willingness to travel across Europe, Africa & territories in the Indian Ocean (Up to 30 percent).
- Ability to operate independently whilst being results‑oriented and can navigate through ambiguity.
- Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) with a secondary language being a plus.
- Global travel retail experience is a plus.
