British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in London Chiswick. The Account Manager is the key contact between BAT and duty-free customers, tasked to drive BAT’s strategic agenda, utilising all tools available to drive profitability and strategic growth in one of the most important brand exposure channels globally.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage responsible key accounts end to end operation and deliver volume, market share, and profit as per expectation.
  • Lead commercial agreement negotiations for responsible key accounts and ensure BAT investments are utilised in a balanced manner based on TCI principles to ensure BAT’s fair share of net available.
  • Seek and explore new business potential in line with company expectations and protocol.
  • Build and develop customer relationships, establishing connections with key staff and board level customers.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance and Brand Marketing to ensure alignment in financial reviews and first-class execution of the marketing plan.
  • Manage the implementation of the account plan and ongoing measurement against set objectives.
  • Support GTR Centre supply chain and key account personnel for a quality collaborative forecasting process.
  • Maximise legitimate volume and value potential of BAT brands in travel retail channels (border shops, diplomatic outlets, ferries, airlines).
  • Lead the monthly forecast to sales cycle and the annual pricing review exercise.
  • Comply with and implement activities in accordance with regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong trade marketing experience in a managerial position within a multinational company (preferably in key account management and in the FMCG segment).
  • Strong analytical, customer relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Proven Business and Financial Acumen.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse problems, recommend solutions and drive action plans within organisational policy.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe, Africa & territories in the Indian Ocean (up to 30 percent).
  • Ability to operate independently whilst being results oriented and can navigate through ambiguity.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) with a secondary language being a plus.
  • Global travel retail experience is a plus.
