The Bristol Port Company are looking for Plant Operators, (known internally as General Operatives) to join their team.
Location: Avonmouth, Bristol, BS11 9DQ
Salary: £34,519 per annum plus overtime and benefits

Plant Operator – The Role:
Do you want to operate a wide range of equipment from fork-lift trucks to computer controlled cranes costing millions of pounds Do you want to work for a company that\’s known for providing excellent careers If you do, then this is the job for you.
Since 1991 The Bristol Port Company has invested over £450 million in equipment and people to create one of the country\’s most technically advanced ports. We are now looking for motivated people to join as General Operatives.
Plant Operator – Hours:
The standard working month is 169.5 hours, scheduled in various shift patterns, which can change as needed. Shifts run 24/7, and rest days can fall on any day of the week. Overtime starts after 169.5 hours per month, paid at time plus one quarter for the first 24 hours, and time plus one half for additional hours.
Plant Operator – You:
– You will participate in all aspects of cargo handling and store operations at Avonmouth and Royal Portbury Dock
– You will have the experience and capability to operate mobile plant, including front end loaders and forklift trucks
– You will be of smart appearance, enthusiastic and physically fit
– You will have a full clean driving licence and your own transport
Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation packages. Candidates must be eligible to both live and work in the UK to be considered for the role.
