Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Remote with occasional travel to North and West Yorkshire sites Rate: Market rates 6 months initial Contract position with extensions / outside IR35 Summary Bridge Technology Partners are working exclusively with a global FTSE 100 client in North Yorkshire to help them source a Contract Network Engineer. The contractor will be responsible for supporting the planning, deploying and migration to new Cisco-based VXLAN MP-BGP EVPN Data Centre Network environments. They work with existing networking teams to provide hands-on skills for data centre builds and migrations, as well as documentation and project reporting. Due to the location of the client, it would be preferred if the candidate is based in the north UK. Skills Build experience for VXLAN MP-BGP EVPN DC environments utilizing Cisco NDFC and Cisco 9300 series hardware CCNP Data Centre certification or similar level/above Practical previous Data Centre migration experience is essential Knowledge of migrating networking services WAN, Internet, Firewalls, and load balancing Experience with Cisco IOS switching and routing, Nexus 7k/5k/2K switching and routing, VXLAN MP-BGP EVPN with NDFC environments, and Cisco 9300 series platforms Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and ISIS implementation Excellent communication skills Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts Understanding of retail and distribution enterprise networks Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours
