Overview
We are looking for a Finance professional who will play a key role in helping us deliver our vital services to those experiencing homelessness in Leicester.

Over the last seven years, we have tripled our turnover, and this year we expect to exceed £500,000 in annual income for the first time.
As we continue to grow, we need a skilled finance professional to help ensure our charity remains financially strong, sustainable and able to support more people experiencing homelessness across Leicester.
Your expertise will help to strengthen an organisation that supports some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified accountant.
- Skills to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences.
- Ability to explain financial analysis clearly and make recommendations to the Board.
- Willingness to be available to staff to provide advice and guidance on financial matters.
- Good interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills to communicate effectively with the Board, management team and external stakeholders.
- Existing Trustee experience is desirable but not essential.
Having an interest in our cause is crucial for all Trustees. You will be committed to work we do but do not need to be knowledgeable as we will induct in this area.
What will you be doing?
The purpose of this role is to monitor the financial administration of The Bridge and advise the Board and CEO on financial matters, in line with best practice and in compliance with the governing document and legal requirements.
Alongside your fellow Trustees, you will also be responsible for the overall governance, administration and strategic direction of the charity, including developing its aims, objectives and goals in accordance with relevant organisation and legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee, approve and present all yearly budgets, quarterly and annual accounts and other relevant financial statements.
- Review budgets, accounts and financial statements in advance of Board meetings.
- Present regular reports on the organisation\'s financial position.
- Advise fellow Trustees on a regular basis of the financial status of the charity, and where necessary, recommend action.
- Ensure the charity complies with legislative and regulatory requirements with regards to financial matters.
- Maintain sound financial management of the charity’s resources.
- Regularly liaise with the CEO and Operations Manager regarding financial matters.
