Key Responsibilities
- Supports our commitment to providing the best possible care for our residents and to make them feel like family within a loving home.
- Share this approach, valuing the small things that are important to each resident and providing additional care and support when a client is unwell or in the end‑of‑life phase.
- Act as a Key‑worker to a number of clients.
- Use personal knowledge and experience of working with those individuals to support nurses in writing and reviewing care plans.
- Document care given, recording any changes and reporting these to the person in charge of the shift.
- Provide support and advice to residents' families and friends, keeping them informed at an appropriate level while respecting confidentiality.
- Work with the Activities Team to develop group and one‑to‑one activities that will be engaging and of interest to residents.
- Liaise with other agencies as required in the interests of the resident (e.g., GP, Social Services, Occupational Therapist).
