The Last Talisman is Bermondsey Street's home of expertly crafted cocktails and a sizzling Asian grill — mouth-watering small plates, bold flavours and beautifully designed spaces, right in the heart of one of London's best-loved food streets.

Our brand-new Head Chef is building a team from the ground up, and we're looking for a Chef de Partie who wants to be part of it from day one. This is a genuine opportunity for someone hungry to progress — a strong pair of hands on the pass who is eager to learn, sharpen their craft, and grow into a Sous Chef role as the team and the venue develop together.

If you're competitive, driven, and want your next move to be somewhere you can actually make your mark, we'd love to hear from you.

THE ROLE

As Chef de Partie, you'll run your section with pace, precision and pride, working closely with our new Head Chef to help shape the kitchen's standards from the very beginning. This isn't a role where you'll be left to stand still — you'll be coached, challenged and given real responsibility, with a clear path towards a Sous Chef position for the right person.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Solid experience working a section in a fast-paced kitchen, with a genuine appetite to progress towards Sous Chef
  • A team player who thrives working alongside others and supports the wider kitchen, not just their own station
  • Eagerness to learn, take feedback on board and keep developing your culinary skills
  • A competitive, driven attitude — someone who wants to be the best on the pass and pushes the whole team forward
  • Solid knowledge of classic cooking methods, with real curiosity about Asian-inspired flavours and grill technique
  • Willingness to contribute ideas as the menu and the team continue to develop
  • Passion for hospitality, food and drink
  • Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm, organised and effective under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A competitive, industry-leading hourly rate of £14.00 plus a share of service charge
  • Weekly pay
  • A genuine, structured route to Sous Chef as you develop with a brand-new team
  • Ongoing personal development and career guidance from an experienced Head Chef
  • Healthy work-life balance and flexible working hours
  • Pension scheme
  • Free meals on shift
  • 50% staff discount across every venue in The Breakfast Group
  • A fun, creative working environment in one of Bermondsey Street's most distinctive venues

THE VENUE

Expertly crafted cocktails and a sizzling Asian grill — eat, drink and unwind at The Last Talisman. Tucked into the heart of Bermondsey Street, just a short walk from London Bridge Station and Borough Market, we bring people together through bold flavours, crafted cocktails and immersive, beautifully designed spaces. It's a kitchen where creativity is encouraged and every plate has personality.
