More than three decades later, we continue to work closely with the best chefs, alongside grocers, foodservice partners and our own neighbourhood bakery, GAIL's. The Bread Factory is synonymous with quality, having been awarded more than 100 Great Taste Awards and holding a Royal Warrant since 2016, renewed in 2024.

  • Coordinating vehicle movements and loading activities, supporting on‑time departures and escalating any issues that could impact service.
  • Promoting Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, ensuring procedures are followed and raising any concerns promptly.
  • Carrying out vehicle checks, reporting defects, and liaising with relevant teams to support timely resolutions.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment at all times.
  • Monitoring traffic flow within the yard and supporting efficient vehicle movements.
  • Working closely with Transport, Night Operations, and other departments to ensure effective communication throughout the shift.
  • Completing accurate shift handovers and operational records to support continuity between teams.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for day‑to‑day yard issues and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
  • Identifying and suggesting opportunities to improve ways of working and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting compliance with yard standards, including Clean As You Go (CAYG), uniform requirements, and safe working practices.
  • Providing hands‑on support across the operation, including driving duties where required during busy periods or to support business needs.

Our team tells us you will be a great addition if you have:

  • A valid Forklift Licence (or willingness to complete training provided by us).
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
