The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, foodservices, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we seek our next Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:

  • Ensure that the equipment and plant are maintained.
  • React to breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
  • PLC fault finding to input and output level.
  • Electrically and mechanically skilled, an engineering-based NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification (C&G 2330 or similar).
  • Qualified to (or be prepared to qualify to) Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (2382-15) 18th Edition and upgrade as new Editions are released.
  • Preferably holding an HNC (Level 4) or equivalent qualification in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline and previous control/instrumentation experience would be highly desirable.
  • Understand OEE and equipment performance metrics.
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to record planned maintenance and reactive tasks.
  • Experience with bakery machinery.
  • Troubleshooting on electrical equipment is a must.

Shift Times: 6 am- 6 pm & 6 pm-6 am: 2 days Day shift and 2 days Night shift on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
