The Bread Factory is London's leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, foodservices, and retailers such as our GAIL's Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we seek our next Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
- Ensure that the equipment and plant are maintained.
- React to breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
- PLC fault finding to input and output level.
- Remedy issues highlighted by our in-house HAACP audits.
- Respond to out-of-hours calls for breakdowns.
Our team tells us you will be a great addition if you:
- Are a logical thinker with a proactive approach to resolving issues and faults.
- Are electrically and mechanically skilled, with an engineering-based NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification (C&G 2330 or similar).
- Are qualified to (or be prepared to qualify to) Electrical Installations BS7671:2nd Edition and upgrade as new Editions are released.
- Preferably hold an HNC (Level 4) or equivalent qualification in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline; previous control/instrumentation experience would be highly desirable.
- Understand OEE and equipment performance metrics.
- Have experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to record planned maintenance and reactive tasks.
- Have experience with bakery machinery.
- Have HAACP awareness.
- Can troubleshoot on electrical equipment.
Shift Times: 6 am-6 pm & 6 pm-6 am: 2 days Day shift and 2 days Night shift on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
