About us: The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we are looking for a Junior Baker. As a Junior Baker, you will make our award-winning breads using methods of mixing, baking, scaling and shaping. This job is for you if you like a fast-paced environment and enjoy working in a team. Experience is not needed; you will learn on the job. Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing: Supporting the oven team with baking our hand-crafted artisan breads Loading and unloading trays from ovens safely and efficiently Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure top-quality products Learning to identify when products are baked to perfection Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times Keeping your workspace organised and assisting with cleaning routines Working as part of a team to meet production targets Our people tell us you’ll be a great addition to the team if you are… Passionate about baking and eager to grow your skills Comfortable working in a warm, fast-paced production environment Detail-oriented and take pride in getting things just right A reliable team player who’s always ready to lend a hand Flexible with shifts and happy to work early mornings or nights Someone with bakery experience Contracted hours: 45 hours – Full Time (overtime is optionable) Working Hours: 7am – 4pm Shift Pattern: Mon-Sun, any 5 days out of 7 Location: Hendon, London, NW9 – If you live in a 5-mile radius, this job is for you What’s in it for you?
