The Bread Factory is London's leading Artisan Bakery, known for award‑winning breads, pastries and cakes, supplying top‑quality products across e‑commerce, grocery, food services and retailers such as GAIL's Bakeries nationwide. We're looking for a Mixing Operative to join our busy bakery production team. This role is at the heart of our operation, ensuring our doughs are prepared to the highest standards before heading into the bake.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately weighing and preparing ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
  • Operating mixing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitoring dough development to ensure consistency, texture and quality meet our artisan standards.
  • Recording batch details and maintaining clear, accurate documentation.
  • Working closely with production and baking teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Cleaning down equipment and work areas to maintain a safe, organised environment.
  • Supporting wider bakery operations when needed.
