The Bread Factory is a Food Manufacturing bakery that makes deliciously crafted bread, cakes, and pastries. We are proud to craft products for our GAIL’s bakeries, neighborhood grocery stores, restaurants, and more!

As our teams grow, we are looking for our next Quality Manager to join our team.

Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:

  1. Direct the team to deliver the quality management system and site HACCP, including the internal audit plan to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing unit, legislative, divisional, and strategic requirements.
  2. Manage and maintain the internal microbiological, nutritional, and chemical testing schedule.
  3. Provide information and demonstrate operational practice in support of external audits to enable compliance with customer requirements.
  4. Continue to develop the capability of the QA team through the Technical Strategy and build production capability and understanding to achieve relevant technical requirements.
  5. Monitor site KPI’s adjusting team activity to ensure targets are achieved.
  6. Investigate key deviations from process and customer specification, taking appropriate action to bring the process back into control.
  7. Implement and challenge corrective actions coming from monthly KPI meetings, customer audits, or scorecard meetings and/or feedback from other site learnings.
  8. Plan and maintain resource utilization to achieve the required tasks relating to QMS, hygiene, and group requirements.
  9. Lead and deliver projects to create business effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  10. Interface with customers during site visits and audits, business reviews, and other key opportunities.
  11. Manage the Quality Assessment Panels and Corrective Planning coming from the Panels.

  6. BSc or above professional qualification in Food Safety or similar field (Desirable).
  7. 5+ years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role.
  8. Level 3 HACCP.
  9. Internal Audit Qualification.
  10. Previous experience in working with BRCGS and Retailers’ Codes of Practice.
  11. Proficient in Microsoft packages.
