Position details

We are looking for our next Afternoon Pastry Assistant. As a Pastry Assistant – Mixing, you will make our award‑winning pastries using methods of mixing, baking, scaling and shaping. This job is for you if you like a fast‑paced environment and enjoy working in a team.

  • Contract Type: Full‑Time
  • Contracted Hours: 45 hours – Full Time (overtime optional)
  • Working Hours: 7 am – 4 pm
  • Shift Pattern: Mon‑Sun, any 5 days out of 7
  • Location: Hendon, London, NW9 (within a 5‑mile radius)
  • Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation and production of pastries and desserts following our artisan methods
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients accurately according to recipes
  • Supporting the Pastry Chefs in daily operations and special orders
  • Ensuring a clean, organised, and food‑safe working environment
  • Keeping up with production targets while maintaining our high standards
  • Helping with packing and labelling as needed

Qualifications

  • Passionate about food and eager to learn the art of pastry making
  • Reliable, punctual, and happy to work as part of a close‑knit team
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced kitchen or production environment
  • Detail‑oriented and committed to quality in everything you do
  • Open to early starts or flexible working hours when required
  • Previous pastry or bakery experience is a plus, but not essential – we’ll teach you the rest
