Position details
We are looking for our next Afternoon Pastry Assistant. As a Pastry Assistant – Mixing, you will make our award‑winning pastries using methods of mixing, baking, scaling and shaping. This job is for you if you like a fast‑paced environment and enjoy working in a team.
Contract Type: Full‑Time | Contracted Hours: 45 hours – Full Time (overtime optional)
Working Hours: 7 am – 4 pm Shift Pattern: Mon‑Sun, any 5 days out of 7 | Location: Hendon, London, NW9 (within a 5‑mile radius)
Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and production of pastries and desserts following our artisan methods
- Measuring and mixing ingredients accurately according to recipes
- Supporting the Pastry Chefs in daily operations and special orders
- Ensuring a clean, organised, and food‑safe working environment
- Keeping up with production targets while maintaining our high standards
- Helping with packing and labelling as needed
Qualifications
- Passionate about food and eager to learn the art of pastry making
- Reliable, punctual, and happy to work as part of a close‑knit team
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced kitchen or production environment
- Detail‑oriented and committed to quality in everything you do
- Open to early starts or flexible working hours when required
- Previous pastry or bakery experience is a plus, but not essential – we’ll teach you the rest
