The Brattle Group is looking for a Research Analyst – International Arbitration, to work out of our London office on a fixed term contract of 12 months, with fluency in English and German required.

About the Role

As a Research Analyst, you will play an integral role in project teams, contributing to complex economic and financial analyses related to international disputes. You will gain hands‑on experience in economic consulting and develop practical skills in data analysis, modelling, and research.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Combining economic theory and industry knowledge to solve real problems
  • Diving into data, using statistical analyses to extract information from messy data
  • Constructing models from a blend of theoretical concepts to answer complex questions
  • Reviewing literature and industry trends to understand the debate around key developments
  • Analysing companies and markets; understand, perform, and supervise statistical/econometric analysis and estimate cost of capital

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have completed a Master's degree by September 2026 in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative discipline with strong academic performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & German (fluency in another European language is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data.
  • Exceptional experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Stata, R, or Python is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
