RESEARCH ANALYST INTERN – ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

We are seeking an intellectually curious team player with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our London office as a Research Analyst Intern for a fixed-term contract (FTC) of 9 or 12 months from September 2026. This internship will support both our International Arbitration and Competition practices, where you will collaborate closely with senior consulting staff and leading industry experts on high-profile cases.

About the Role

As a Research Analyst Intern, you will play an integral role in project teams, contributing to complex economic and financial analyses related to international disputes and competition matters. You will gain hands-on experience in economic consulting and develop practical skills in data analysis, modelling, and research.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative research to support expert analysis in arbitration and competition cases.
  • Applying economic and financial modelling techniques to address real-world challenges.
  • Using software (such as Stata, R, Python, or Excel) to analyse datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Reviewing and summarising academic literature and industry trends to contextualise findings.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Will have completed a Bachelor's degree by September 2026 in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative discipline with strong academic performance.
  • Interested in pursuing a Master’s after completing the internship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data.
  • Basic experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Stata, R, or Python is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency in another European language is a plus).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
