Joining the Sainsbury’s team as a Brand & Attraction Manager at Argos offers a unique opportunity to shape how we attract and engage talent across one of the UK’s most recognisable retail brands. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of the overall Talent Attraction, Employer Brand and EVP strategy aligned to business priorities, ensuring we reach diverse, high-quality talent at scale across Retail, Logistics, Professional and Tech hiring.

You’ll work in close partnership with recruitment leaders, People teams and the wider business to deliver creative, data‑led attraction campaigns that bring our employer value proposition to life. From enhancing our candidate experience to strengthening our market presence, you’ll play a key role in how Argos is perceived as an employer while contributing to a culture that values ownership, innovation and human connection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall Talent Attraction, Employer Brand and EVP strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Partner with Recruitment Managers, People teams and senior stakeholders to understand hiring demand and translate this into impactful attraction plans.
  • Design and deliver high‑impact recruitment marketing campaigns across key hiring segments, including transformation roles, seasonal peaks, early careers and niche opportunities.
  • Act as a guardian of the Argos employer brand, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all candidate touchpoints, including our careers site, social channels and external attraction partners.
  • Oversee the performance of attraction channels, using data and insight to optimise activity, improve return on investment and continuously enhance the candidate experience.
  • Build strong relationships with external suppliers and media partners, bring innovative approaches to market, and lead continuous improvement across attraction and employer brand activity.

  • A strategic and commercially minded talent attraction professional with deep expertise in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
  • Strong understanding of how to position an organisation in the external market and create compelling campaigns that attract diverse, high‑quality talent.
  • Data‑led mindset, confident interpreting insights and translating them into clear, actionable strategies that deliver measurable impact.
  • Experienced in working at pace across multiple hiring demands and enjoy balancing creativity with performance outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and aligning around shared goals.
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent candidate experience and embedding inclusive attraction approaches that support diversity, equity and inclusion across the hiring lifecycle.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience of developing and delivering talent attraction, employer brand or EVP strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrable expertise in recruitment marketing and delivering attraction campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and social platforms.
  • Experience managing high‑impact attraction activity at scale across a variety of hiring needs (e.g. volume, specialist, early careers).
  • Ability to analyse recruitment and market data to generate insight and evaluate the performance and ROI of attraction activity.
  • Experience of partnering with senior stakeholders to influence hiring approaches and deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of employer brand, candidate journey and inclusive attraction practices.
