At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Global Digital Marketing Team is seeking a Global Brand Manager in Spain or the UK. This role will lead brand development and excellence across our Weed Control portfolio by providing strategic leadership for global brand positioning.

You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive global brand strategies, frameworks, and 360° launch campaigns that strengthen brand equity and drive measurable business results. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will influence cross-functional teams across Technical, Regulatory, R&D, and Commercial functions, embedding brand strategy and customer insights into critical business decisions.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how brands evolve throughout the product lifecycle while championing branding as a core strategic capability within a global, innovation-driven organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Brand Strategy & Leadership: Develop and steward global brand strategies across the Weed Control portfolio, ensuring consistent brand equity growth and alignment with commercial objectives. Drive global positioning and value propositions for all NPIs, independently shaping brand direction for measurable market impact. Champion branding as a strategic capability, fostering cross-functional understanding and brand-led decision-making.
  • Budget & Performance Management: Manage annual global brand budget, establishing investment priorities, aligning spend with regional needs, tracking ROI, and providing quarterly performance updates. Monitor brand performance using global metrics to optimize positioning, strengthen equity, and recommend strategic enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Collaboration: Embed brand strategy and customer insights into cross-functional decision-making across AIM teams, Marketing, and Regional/Market teams. Partner with Technical, Regulatory, and R&D teams to translate complex scientific information into compelling brand narratives. Guide regional and market teams to ensure consistent localization and execution of global brand strategies.
  • Brand Governance: Oversee global brand governance, ensuring adherence to brand frameworks, messaging, and portfolio architecture across all markets. Lead development and execution of high-impact 360° launch campaigns with consistent global implementation.
Qualifications Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in brand management or marketing leadership in fast-moving, technical B2B industries (crop protection, agriculture technology, or chemical sectors preferred).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven track record leading global/regional brand strategies and product launches (NPIs) from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with R&D, Technical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without direct authority, including executive leadership and regional managers.
  • Hands-on experience with brand governance, positioning, and messaging frameworks across global markets.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills: ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, convey complex information clearly, and facilitate dialogue across diverse audiences.
  • Customer-focused, decisive, and team-oriented with proven ability to work effectively in matrix environments.
Desired qualifications:
  • Experience in sustainability-focused product categories or managing sustainability messaging.
  • Digital marketing experience in technical sectors.
  • Experience managing multi-market launch campaigns across diverse regulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with agronomic principles, weed resistance trends, or crop protection technologies.
  • Innovative mindset with track record of generating creative solutions, challenging the status quo, and pushing boundaries.
  • Proactive approach with quick learning ability and adaptability to changing market dynamics.
  • Additional language skills beyond English.
