The Boxford, 10 minutes from Newbury, occupies the former site of ‘The Bell Inn’, a rural roadside inn that was converted into a modern family‑friendly restaurant in 2023. It specialises in fresh Mediterranean cuisine and artisanal sourdough pizzas set in the scenic Berkshire countryside.
We are looking for personable individuals to join our bar team to assist with the delivery of exquisite cocktails and exceptional wine.
About the Bartender role:
- Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out all duties required
- Take part in the setup of the bar
- Take orders and prepare drinks, including hot drinks
- Abide by company policies and departmental procedures/training
- Liaise with key people across the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent with manager‑set menu and standards
- Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH regulations and other health and safety requirements
Hours per week: 45
Qualifications:
- Leaving Cert level education or above
- NVQ qualification or equivalent
- Real passion for food, beverage and customer service
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Hands‑on and proactive approach
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent time management
