We are looking for a highly organised, hands-on Head of Warehousing who takes pride in running a tight operation and keeping the warehouse and inventory under control.
The Role
You will be responsible for warehouse organisation, inventory accuracy, stock control and leading the warehouse team. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, structured and comfortable taking ownership of the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for all warehouse operations, processes, team members, stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Manage goods in / goods out, checking deliveries and allocating storage locations.
- Ensure all project materials are correctly prepared and staged for installation teams.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Manage and lead warehouse operatives and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and stock control.
- Experience leading or supervising warehouse staff.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Reliable, proactive and able to take ownership of processes.
- Experience in furniture logistics, removals, installation logistics or project logistics is highly desirable.
