Bowker Motor Group is recruiting for a Group Wheel Technician to join the team, based between the BMW Centres in Preston and Blackburn. The position will be mainly at the Preston Centre; however, travel to Blackburn will be required.
The Role
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Wheel Technician to join our busy and growing workshop team. Whether you already have experience in wheel refurbishment or are keen to learn a skilled trade, we want to hear from you. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role within a fast-paced workshop environment, offering full training and long-term career development.
What You’ll Learn & Be Doing
- Tyre removal, refitting, and wheel balancing
- Loading wheels into specialist paint stripping machines
- Powder coating and wet paint spray techniques
- Alloy wheel refurbishment and diamond cutting using specialist machinery
- Paint preparation and shot blasting
- Wheel repairs and finishing
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and high-quality standards
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn new skills and processes
Previous experience in wheel refurbishment, bodyshop, tyre fitting, or paint spraying is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. Working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.
