The Experiences & Learning Manager leads the development and delivery of an ambitious, inclusive programme of public activity at The Bowes Museum. This includes learning programmes, large-scale events, and special moments that connect audiences with the Museum’s collections, building, and parkland. Working closely with colleagues across Collections, Curatorial, Production, and Marketing, the role brings together creative programming, co-production, and audience engagement to create meaningful, memorable experiences for diverse audiences. The postholder will line-manage two Producers and lead an innovative, collaborative, income-generating programme, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong audience impact.

- Champion co-production, working with communities, artists, and partners to shape inclusive and relevant programming.
- Lead the planning and delivery of large-scale events and special moments, enhancing the Museum’s profile and visitor experience.
- Develop and deliver income-generating programmes across learning and public activity, contributing to the Museum’s financial sustainability.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships to support programme delivery locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of Producers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and delivery.
