Own AI products end-to-end β€” take assets from concept through requirements, build, quality and safety review, and rollout, and ensure they remain effective and continuously improved once liveExecute at pace β€” prototype rapidly using AI-native tooling, then scale with engineering; maintain production-grade products in an environment where the underlying platforms release new capabilities weeklyRationalize and future-proof the portfolio β€” consolidate overlapping tools and ensure the firm's AI assets remain reusable and portable as new platforms emerge, rather than rebuilding from the ground upEstablish governance and the path to release β€” define how AI products are evaluated and approved, and build the workflows that make risk, legal, privacy, and compliance sign-off scalable and predictableTrack usage and demonstrate impact β€” define the metrics that matter, work within the measurement limits of the underlying platforms, and translate available data into credible, leadership-ready reporting on adoption and valuePartner closely with engineering β€” direct the build, contribute to architecture and tooling decisions, and assess technical feasibility, without needing to write production code yourselfYOU'RE GOOD ATOwning a product end-to-end and imposing structure where a defined process does not yet existMoving fast β€” prototyping independently, iterating with engineering, and maintaining production-grade products without losing qualityScaling a product or portfolio β€” improving efficiency and impact as volume grows, not only shipping the first versionHolding your own in technical discussions with engineers and making defensible architecture and tooling callsBuilding and sustaining relationships with senior stakeholders, and communicating clearly both above and belowBringing a data-driven approach to decisions and defining the metrics that move a product toward its goalsAnalyzing tradeoffs across value, cost, effort, and risk β€” and making the callCalibrating what "good" looks like for a demanding professional audience and holding that quality barWhat You'll Bring5–7 years of relevant experience as a product manager or in a comparable product roleHands-on experience building with Anthropic and/or OpenAI β€” skills, plugins, agents, or MCP integrations β€” in a professional or personal contextA consulting background, or comparable experience delivering to a senior professional audience, with the judgment to calibrate what "client-quality" output requiresDeep fluency across the modern AI tooling stack β€” agentic architectures, multi-agent orchestration, LLM routing, human-in-the-loop design, and evals β€” sufficient to direct engineers, make architecture and model tradeoffs, and evaluate new form factors as they emergeThe instinct to build beyond the day job β€” personal projects, prototypes, or side tools that reflect genuine curiosity and a habit of learning by doingUnderstanding of agile principles and ways of working; proficiency with JIRA or equivalent toolingStrong communication and stakeholder-management skillsComfort operating in ambiguity and standing up governance where none existsExperience navigating risk, privacy, or compliance reviewWho You'll Work WithSenior leadership, who set direction and priorities for the AI portfolioEngineering, data, and platform partners, with whom you coordinate builds and integrationsThe risk, legal, privacy, and compliance functions that review and approve products for releaseBoston Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
