Overview
As a Project Leader in BCG’s Insurance Practice, you guide insurers and reinsurers through AI-enabled strategic shifts. You’ll work with senior leaders to define where to play and how to win, translating AI capabilities into durable business models. Collaborating across insurance, strategy, data, AI, and tech, you’ll align ambition with executable paths while shaping the practice’s capabilities at the intersection of insurance and AI. This role offers high-impact opportunities to influence top-tier clients and drive transformation.
Responsibilities
- Advise C-suite on how AI alters industry economics, competitive advantage and priorities
- Frame and lead strategic questions across underwriting, pricing, claims, distribution, and reinsurance
- Assess GenAI, agentic AI, ML, and analytics’ impact on insurance decisions and models
- Develop perspectives on investment, differentiation, partnerships, or transformation as AI evolves
- Lead case teams from problem definition to recommendations and executive decisions
- Engage senior clients with evidence-based dialogue and challenge assumptions
- Collaborate with insurance, AI, data, and technology experts to connect strategy with execution
- Contribute to strengthening BCG’s Insurance Practice at the AI intersection
Key requirements
- 6+ years of strategy consulting experience with leadership of complex engagements
- Deep commercial insurance expertise in underwriting, claims, or related P&C domains
- Strategic judgment linking industry shifts to insurance economics and business model choices
- Practical depth in AI including GenAI, agentic AI, ML, and analytics implications for insurance
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and translate analysis into recommendations
- Ability to build credibility with C-suite and influence complex decisions
