Who We AreBoston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact. To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive. What You'll DoBCG's 2030 strategy is built on one central theme: where strategic clarity meets applied AI. Closing the gap between AI ambition and measurable impact is the defining challenge BCG helps its clients solve — and building the most AI-fluent workforce in the world is how BCG delivers on that promise internally. As Learning Architecture Director, AI Upskilling, you will be part of a team as a rapid-response unit — dividing and conquering across BCG's upskilling portfolio while holding shared standards and a common direction. Within that team, you own the firmwide architecture for building digital and AI capabilities across BCG — setting the strategic direction for your domain, designing the system, and ensuring it connects with what your peers are building. You will work directly with senior leaders across Digital, AI, Practice Areas, and People teams to translate BCG's global priorities into a coherent, scalable upskilling ecosystem with measurable business outcomes.Your mandate goes beyond programme design. BCG has committed to a continuous cycle of capability building — combining world-class training, leading AI tools, hands-on experimentation, and a first-of-its-kind AI certification programme.. Critically, you will architect the next generation of learning itself: adaptive learning experiences that respond to individual needs and proficiency levels, and AI-powered learning in the flow of work that removes the boundary between doing and developing. You will make architectural decisions about what gets built internally versus sourced externally, where to pilot and where to scale, and how to balance speed with rigour. You will track adoption, synthesise learner data and stakeholder signals, and use that evidence to continuously sharpen the architecture. The team moves fast and responds to evolving business and learner needs: you will pivot as priorities shift, share findings across the unit, and pick up collective work when the portfolio demands it.You are good atTranslating complex priorities into learning architecture at pace — turning shifting business needs and AI developments into clear design decisions and tangible business outcomesWorking as part of a rapid-response team — mobilising teams quickly to develop learning, and re-forming as priorities and demands shiftDesigning and scaling learning solutions end-to-end — building learning that are rigorous enough to drive real capability change and lean enough to move fast in a fast evolving environmentApplying GenAI and digital tools— experimenting hands-on, evaluating critically, and translating what you learn into user-centric learning solutionsInfluencing across a global, matrixed organisation — partnering with Digital, AI, Practice Area, and HR leaders to shape demand, align priorities, and drive adoptionUsing data to drive decisions and continuous improvement — defining the right metrics from the outset, measuring what matters beyond adoption rates, and translating learner and business insights into concrete design improvements and demonstrable impactBeing genuinely tech savvy — picking up new tools fast, navigating digital environments with ease, and bringing natural curiosity about technology into everything you designWhat You'll Bring8–12 years of experience in learning design, capability building, or transformation environments, with a track record of delivering at scale in complex, global organisationsExperience working as a consultant is a strong plus — you understand how to structure problems, navigate complex client environments, and deliver under pressure with senior stakeholdersProven ability to design and scale learning or upskilling initiatives end-to-end — from strategic roadmap through pilot to firmwide rollout — with measurable business outcomesHands-on experience with GenAI tools and AI-powered learning platforms — not just awareness, but a demonstrated ability to build, evaluate, and iterate with them in real work contextsStrong program and project management skills, including experience managing competing priorities and allocating effort across multiple workstreams in a matrixed environmentExperience working closely with senior leadership, shaping demand, influencing decisions, and driving adoption without relying on positional authorityHigh learning agility and genuine comfort operating in ambiguity — you move fast, adjust course without drama, and bring others along with youExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt your message across technical, business, and executive audiencesAn advanced degree in learning, organisational development, business, or a related field is preferred, though demonstrated impact will always matter more than credentialsWho You'll Work WithYou’ll be dedicated to our Rapid Response Team that takes care of high priority business requests to upskill our workforce quickly in emerging topics.
