Overview

As a Full-Stack Engineer Director at , you will set the technical direction for the Frontier Self-Service Experience Platform, owning end-to-end architecture and delivery across frontend, backend, AI components, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll define standards, evolve the tech stack, and serve as the senior technical authority for design reviews and platform scalability. You’ll lead a distributed engineering team, collaborate with Product Management and senior leaders, and drive architecture governance in a global, matrixed organization. This role offers impact by shaping scalable, secure, AI-powered platforms in a consulting-enabled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction for the Frontier Self-Service Experience Platform across frontend, backend, integrations, AI, and cloud infra
  • Define engineering standards and best practices; evolve technology stack
  • Lead architecture decisions, design reviews, and build-vs-buy decisions; ensure scalability, resilience, and security
  • Partner with Product Management and senior engineering leaders to translate roadmaps into maintainable architecture
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of engineers and engineering managers; coach future technical leaders
  • Chair architecture and governance forums; manage escalations and senior stakeholder communications
  • Operate with independence on complex, business-critical decisions

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (must have)
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise-scale, full-stack & AI-powered platforms
  • Deep hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular) and backend languages (Node.js, Java, .NET, Python)
  • Cloud-native architecture on Azure and/or AWS; API-first and event-driven design (must have)
  • Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams in a global, matrixed organization; mentoring senior engineers (must have)
  • Experience integrating DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools; consulting environment a plus (preferred)
  • Clear and concise communication; effective meetings and stakeholder management
  • Analytical and structured thinking to frame complex problems
  • Prioritization and program management across technical priorities
