Our Operational Innovations (OI) team is at the center of this transformation. We are trusted partners to our functions and firm leadership for driving this ambitious change agenda. We enable step-change improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of the firm by accelerating high-priority initiatives sponsored by the Operations Leadership Team and/or our Operating Committee. From technology & AI deployments to end-to-end process redesign, we partner with functional and geographic leaders to re-architect how the firm operates — faster, smarter, and more connected than ever before. We don’t just manage change — we partner with the business to make it happen. Our team helps shape and accelerate BCG’s most strategic initiatives, providing hands-on executional leadership and deep expertise in transformation, digital enablement, and change management. We enable functions to scale effectively, improve performance, and unlock new sources of value through data, automation, and forward-thinking design.
Key Activities and Responsibilities include:
- The OI Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of high priority transformation change efforts. Projects could relate to new operating models, tools, systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Engage and support Functional leadership teams.
- Set direction and create the roadmap for the change efforts.
- Crystallize objectives and deliverables, ensuring highest potential for value delivery.
- Manage, track and communicate status of work stream efforts, program risks/issues, and progress towards strategic goals.
- Drive or Partner with Work stream Leads and Sponsors to develop deliverables and determine appropriate ways to navigate complex issues and change management agendas.
- Organize and lead project initiatives, focusing on both change management, project management, and technical implementation (where appropriate).
- Define, manage and control project scope.
- Participate and take leadership role in estimating functional and technical activities where appropriate.
- Develop detailed project and resources plans, balancing dependencies and setting predictable dates.
- Manage all aspects of the project, including requirements, design, development priorities, communications, training, deployment and stabilization.
- Lead the deployment of new processes and technology into local and regional offices (where applicable).
- Partner with local and regional leadership to build alignment on deployment priorities, timelines, and change readiness.
- Identify gaps between globally harmonized processes and local ways of working, developing pragmatic bridging solutions that balance standardization with local fit.
- Build and maintain activation playbooks that equip local offices with clear, actionable guidance for implementing new tools, processes, and operating models.
- Design and deliver targeted training programs to build local capability and drive adoption of new ways of working.
- Develop and execute communications plans that keep local and regional stakeholders informed, engaged, and motivated throughout deployment.
- Track adoption and deployment progress across offices, escalating risks and surfacing lessons learned to inform future rollouts.
- Foster strong internal and external relationships to ensure strong teaming, develop team skills and improve the overall success of the project.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally and globally.
- Become a trusted advisor and be able to support issues, communication and influence outcomes.
- Be a change ambassador across BCG, infusing learning, creating forum to share best practices and develop skills and capabilities in change management.
- Manage a team of OI professionals. Oversee staffing, recruitment, people management process with HR and support your team’s personal development to embed a high performing team culture.

- Working in a complex global environment at pace. You are comfortable managing multiple deliverables with multiple inputs often with high impact, time sensitive requirements. You will thrive in leading and driving change in an often-ambiguous environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement. You can hear what someone needs, translate it into your own words, and create it. You are politically and organizationally savvy and can navigate/influence complex matrix organizations.

- Logically considering how complex projects get completed.

What You'll Bring:
- Significant experience managing, supporting and running change programs in a global organization, Advanced Business degree or Project Management qualification beneficial.
- Track record of successful change and project management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across global organizations. Managing the technical and cultural aspects of change.
- Experience at BCG or other professional services firm in a business partnership role is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and appetite to leverage more progressive digital tools for work process and teaming.
- Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential. Global/International experience and track record of managing teams and projects across borders.
- Experience managing teams and stakeholders, and an orientation towards achieving results.
- Virtual work with international team members, some travel to support team or other work efforts.
Who You’ll Work With:
This role will require interaction with a wide range of stakeholders including our Global leadership, system leaders, various functional leadership, etc. This will also work with specialists from HR, Finance, IT and other functions as required.
