About the Role

The Political Affairs Internship focuses on making poverty a priority within U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy.

  • Part-time (12 hours per week)
  • 12-week program
  • Remote position
  • Unpaid internship
  • Flexible schedule — complete earlier if working ahead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead public and political outreach in your state or district
  • Meet with members of Congress/Government in your constituency
  • Represent The Borgen Project at business, political, and community events
  • Assist with fundraising activities
  • Create and manage a personal fundraising campaign
  • Mobilize individuals to contact government representatives
  • Speak to groups, classes, and organizations
  • Write letters of support to political leaders, media, and organizations
