What you'll be doing
As a Dispenser working within the Boots Central Support Pharmacy in Nottingham, you will dispense medications for patients who have placed an order through our Online Doctor service. You will also support other Pharmacy based operational projects. Based in Nottingham, the Boots Central Support Pharmacy is an exciting team which is at the heart of our growth plans as more patients look to us for online fulfilment of their prescriptions. The team sits within the Pharmacy Logistics function, playing an important role in the supply chain, working with the Online Doctor team.
Key responsibilities
- Using the Boots online platform to manage patients’ prescription orders.
- Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and preparation of orders for dispatch.
- Complying with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
- Delivering efficient dispensary operations and ensuring dispensing losses are minimised.
- Undertake any other reasonable functions within the framework of the Dispenser role as directed by our team of Pharmacists and the Assistant Operations Manager.
- Other tasks done daily/weekly include stock replenishment, date checking and exception counts.
- We also operate a clean as you go practice within the BCSP.
What you’ll need to have
- Completed the UK dispenser qualification (NVQ2 or equivalent). Please be aware that we will not be able to continue with your application if you do not have this.
- Able to dispense prescriptions with confidence and accuracy.
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a skilled worker Visa.
