We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Beauty Insights to join our Strategy & Insights team in Nottingham, Beeston. As Head of Beauty Insights, you will be part of the Customer & Commercial Insights team based in Nottingham who are instrumental in supporting our brands and categories grow their business through customer, market and performance insights. We're looking for a commercially minded, people-focused Head of Beauty Insights to lead the insight strategy for our Beauty business. You’ll turn data into direction, champion customer understanding, and ensure our decisions across category, brand, and marketing are powered by high-quality insight. You’ll also lead and develop a talented team, drive data integrity, and bring fresh thinking to how we use insight to grow the Beauty category.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shape the Beauty insight strategy, taking a proactive, forward‑looking approach that balances long-term strategic development with a clear understanding of current consumer, customer, market and value performance trends.
  • Act as a trusted insight partner to senior stakeholders, known for turning complex data into simple, actionable recommendations, delivering compelling storytelling and influencing high‑impact decision.
  • Lead and develop the insights team, supporting training, recognition and a strong team culture while building capability in analytics, research, storytelling and commercial influence.
  • Play an active role in the broader Beauty leadership team, contributing insight‑led thinking to cross‑functional planning and strategic discussions.
  • Oversee consumer, customer, market and competitor Beauty insight, including understanding shopper missions, loyalty behaviour, attitudinal drivers and market data interpretation.
  • Champion data integrity, ensuring accuracy and governance of all Beauty data sources while identifying new tools, methodologies and data sets.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, partnering with them to deliver the insight plan, commissioning and overseeing research, and supporting their strategic initiatives to maximise value.
  • Embed insight across the business to elevate impact, partnering with category, marketing, digital, CRM, finance and supply chain to support customer‑led strategies and key decisions.

What you’ll need to have (our must‑haves):

  • Strong Beauty, retail or FMCG expertise with a deep understanding of category dynamics and consumer behaviour.
  • A proven track record in delivering commercial impact and shaping strategy both short-term and long-term.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders with the ability to influence senior leaders while collaborating effectively across commercial, marketing, digital, CRM, finance and supply chain.
  • Commercial acumen and comfort in fast paced environments to connect insight to commercial outcomes and shape category or customer strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high standards of delivery.
  • You can simplify complex information and influence senior stakeholders through compelling narratives.
  • Strong analytical and research skills and confident working with market data, customer analytics and qualitative/quantitative research.
  • Experience working with external agencies and ability in managing research partners, data providers and insight agencies, commissioning work and ensuring high‑quality outputs.
  • Experience developing high‑performing teams and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Someone with curiosity and a proactive approach in exploring new insight techniques, technologies and ways of working.
