We are seeking a motivated, engaging and collaborative Finance Manager to join the Logistics Finance team, part of the wider Operational Finance Team. As a Finance Manager, you will take a leading role in supporting management of over £400M of P&L and capex spend and investment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career development and to gain experience that could support progression into more senior finance roles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Logistics along with Local and Central Finance Teams, including senior leadership to provide financial insight and support that drives performance and informed decision-making.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
- Own the weekly reporting process, implementing best practice across all of Logistics and facilitating weekly meetings to aid understanding and building the monthly out turn process.
- Prepare and analyse monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and models to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions.
- Partner with Logistics, Commercial Finance and Pharmacy Finance teams to provide both financial guidance and challenge.
- Own and drive Continuous improvement of financial models, forecasting tools, and reporting systems through automation and simplification.
- Lead the month-end close process in partnership with the Accounting team, including accruals, reclasses, and financial commentary.
- Create and provide regular updates to senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Jointly lead development of a finance analyst and play a part in talent development in the wider team.
What You Need To Have (Our Must Haves):
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance Management/FP&A.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint Skills.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in the logistics sector.
- Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting tools.
- A relevant finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
