As a Consumer Scientist, you will play a key role in generating insights that inform product development and support our much-loved products.
What you’ll be doing:
- No7 Beauty Company conducts its own consumer research and product testing to support new product development.
- Generating consumer insights to ensure our products deliver real results that our customers will love.
- Reporting into the Consumer Science & Panel Manager, you will have a key role in a small team providing invaluable insights to inform product development and support credentialling for our much-loved products.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering product-focused consumer science quant and qual research, using validated and robust scientific techniques.
- Planning and performing cosmetic product testing studies; supporting the development and launch of great new products.
- Analysing & interpreting data and translating into scientific insights to underpin end-to-end R&D decision-making and deliver broader consumer understanding.
- Generating scientifically robust plans, study designs & reports.
- Clearly and accurately communicating insights and results to stakeholders; tailoring content and design to the audience.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):
- A degree in relevant consumer science subjects or equivalent experience.
- Experience using statistical analysis to help identify insights, build consumer profiles and translate into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects and activities at the same time, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Skills in creating reports, presentations and dashboards to communicate findings to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in teams.
- Good verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical information simply and clearly to a non-technical audience.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience using machine learning techniques (e.g. thematic, sentiment, regression, multivariate, cluster analysis).
