In this strategic position, you will report to the Director of Trading for Ireland and collaborate with our dynamic Trading teams in both the UK and Ireland. Your expertise will drive growth, enhance our customer promise, and support Boots Ireland's strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead our Personal Care and Seasonal categories, overseeing diverse ranges from toiletries to Christmas gifts.
  • Deliver the annual budget and strategic plan, driving sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute category strategies informed by market insights, ensuring our offerings are competitive and compelling.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating commercial terms and driving joint business plans.
  • Champion the customer experience, ensuring our propositions meet evolving needs.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar retail trading role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales growth.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation and Excel.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and manage multiple priorities effectively.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience working cross-market or in a matrix environment.
  • Familiarity with the Irish and UK retail markets.
