At Boots, being a Beauty Assistant Manager means leading one of the most exciting and high-profile beauty businesses in the company. Based in the largest beauty hall in Boots, you'll be responsible for inspiring a sizeable team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving outstanding commercial results across a portfolio of premium beauty brands.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and inspire a team of over 50 Beauty Specialists to deliver exceptional customer experiences and commercial results.
  • Create a positive, supportive team environment where colleagues feel confident, capable and motivated.
  • Coach, develop and line manage your team through regular conversations, feedback and development planning.
  • Drive sales, profitability and performance across the beauty hall, identifying opportunities to grow the business.
  • Build strong relationships with premium beauty brands and ensure outstanding execution of brand standards.
  • Deliver exceptional service standards, helping customers find the right products and solutions for their beauty needs.
  • Take ownership of workforce planning, scheduling and resource management across the department.
  • Use commercial reports, data and insight to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
  • Ensure all operational, compliance and health and safety standards are consistently maintained.
  • Lead the beauty business confidently, taking accountability for decisions and performance.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves):

  • Significant experience leading and managing teams within a beauty, cosmetics, luxury or premium retail environment.
  • Proven experience managing and developing large teams, with the ability to coach, inspire and improve performance.
  • A genuine passion for beauty, cosmetics and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A strong commercial mindset with evidence of driving sales and achieving performance targets.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of performance and lead teams to deliver results.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including rota management, absence management, and workload prioritisation.
  • Confidence using reports, data and insight to make decisions and drive commercial performance.
  • A clear understanding of operational standards, compliance and customer service excellence.
  • A collaborative leadership style and ability to build strong relationships across teams and brands.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working closely with beauty brands to drive engagement and sales performance.
  • Experience delivering beauty events, launches and customer engagement activities.
  • A recognised beauty qualification or relevant industry experience.
