The festive season is one of our most exciting and important times of the year, made possible by the energy, warmth and dedication of our store teams. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you\'ll be at the heart of the action, greeting customers with a smile, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that keeps them coming back all year round.

Whilst this is a temporary contract, there may be the potential for a permanent role later depending on the opportunities in your local area, so it could be the start of a new career with us.
About the role
You will work in a Boots store and report to the Assistant or Store Manager, and your responsibilities will include:
  • Customer Interaction: You\'ll offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight our amazing offers to ensure everyone has an enjoyable shopping experience and no one leaves empty-handed.
  • Till Operation: Whether you\'re wrapping up purchases at the counter or supporting our self-checkout systems, you\'ll bring energy and efficiency to every transaction.
  • Stock Management: You\'ll take pride in keeping shelves full so our customers can always find exactly what they need during the busiest shopping season of the year.
  • Store Presentation: We\'re proud of our stores, so you will ensure every area always looks its best.
  • Online order support: Whilst this is a customer-facing role, you may assist with deliveries, picking, and packing for online orders as needed.

What you\'ll need to have
Full training is provided for this role, but these are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed:
  • Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, St Stephen’s Day and New Year’s Day.
  • Customer Service Skills: We\'re looking for people who are comfortable approaching customers, providing a personalised experience that leaves a lasting impression.
  • Operations Ready: You can balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks
  • Tech-Savvy: You are happy to learn about and use new technology, including operating handheld mobile devices, tills and self-checkouts.
  • Team Player: A collaborative, one-team mindset is necessary for helping each other meet the store goals and have fun along the way.
  • Physical Stamina: You\'ll be on your feet, standing, walking and lifting. If you\'re ready to stay busy and active, this is the role for you!
  • Brand Ambassador: We\'re looking for people who love our Boots ethos, products and services and can\'t wait to share them with customers.
