About the role
An entry-level demand planning role, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in Supply Chain and skills in data integrity, forecasting & planning with No7 Beauty Company brands across the UK and EMEA region. It is a permanent role based in Nottingham. Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in No7 Beauty Company, operating end to end across Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Distribution activities. We work in partnership with multiple internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the delivery of our brands to both customer and consumers is efficient and on-time.
The Assistant Demand Planner will support the wider No7 Beauty Company regional demand planning team in forecasting and planning processes across the UK & EMEA regions by ensuring that data integrity, accuracy and processes are followed. This role will work closely with the demand & supply planning teams as well as when needed Sales, Marketing and Finance, to ensure accurate demand forecasts that drive efficient inventory management and product availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the maintenance and improvement of the demand planning system, including data integrity, master data, parameter management, and housekeeping routines.
- Prepare and present regular reports on demand planning metrics, including forecast accuracy and key performance indicators.
- Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to identify patterns and drivers of demand.
- Utilise statistical models and forecasting tools (E2Open / Sofco) to generate accurate demand forecasts and improve overall forecasting accuracy.
- Support the development and maintenance of a SKU-level forecast over a 12-month+ horizon for assigned brands/channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance and supply planning, to gather relevant data and insights.
- Communicate forecast updates and changes to relevant stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the demand planning function and actively contribute to their implementation.
- Participate in demand planning meetings and cross-functional projects to enhance forecasting techniques, streamline processes, and drive overall efficiency.
What you’ll need to have:
- Recent university graduate or A-levels with work experience in a related field.
- Desire to develop a career in Demand Planning, with a view to progress into wider Supply Chain function.
- Numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills with a level of proficiency in data analysis.
- Experienced / intermediate Excel user, comfortable working with systems.
- Ability to work deadlines.
- A team player, willing to collaborate.
- Some experience in planning and associated processes in a retail or FMCG company is desirable.
