Boots Ireland is looking for a full-time, permanent Area Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Area Manager at Boots Ireland, you’ll play a critical leadership role in inspiring and supporting a group of store teams to deliver a best-in-class customer and patient experience. Reporting to the Director of Stores, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance across your area, developing future talent, and ensuring operational excellence in every store.
You will act as a brand ambassador, translating company strategy into store-level action while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and care for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and their teams to deliver commercial results and brilliant customer care.
  • Use management information and insight to drive sales, control costs and improve profitability across all stores in your area.
  • Ensure each store is operating to company standards, delivering exceptional pharmacy and retail standards that meet customer and patient needs.
  • Monitor store performance through regular reviews, using KPIs, audits and compliance checks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and talent development to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Champion Boots values and embed a culture of learning, inclusion and collaboration across the area.
  • Drive key initiatives including loss prevention, change management, and promotional planning.

What you\’ll need to have

  • Previous experience within a retail environment preferably within Pharmacy, Health or Beauty managing multiple sites.
  • A strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse performance data and respond with clear action plans.
  • Experience of coaching, developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • A proactive, customer-led approach with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.
  • The ability to work at pace, prioritise effectively, and adapt in a changing environment.
