As our Planting Services Foreman, you’ll play a key role in helping us design and plant beautiful gardens across London. You’ll be working closely with our Planting Services Manager to deliver top-quality planting schemes for domestic gardens – from selecting plants and organising materials to overseeing installations and leading on-site teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, ambitious department within the business. We’re looking for someone hands-on, practical, and passionate about plants, who’s ready to make their mark and grow with us.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Work alongside the Planting Services Manager to deliver outstanding planting projects across North London
• Organise plants, materials, and sundries for each project
• Drive to sites and set out planting schemes with precision and care
• Install planting schemes and simple irrigation systems
• Supervise and support planting assistants daily
• Uphold Boma’s high standards for plant quality, layout, and customer satisfaction
• Contribute ideas and improvements to support the growth of the service
What We’re Looking For
• Excellent plant knowledge – you know your perennials from your pansies
• Minimum 3 years’ soft landscaping experience
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
• A full UK driving licence (London van driving experience a bonus)
• Strong organisation, time management and initiative
• Ability to work efficiently alone and as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• A positive, flexible attitude and a desire to learn and grow
• A keen eye for detail and pride in delivering beautiful, well-finished work
Nice to Have
• Forklift experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.
