The Apache Academy (ApAc) provides AH-64 synthetic training to our MoD customer. ApAc Engineering supports the continuity of training delivery through pro‑active and reactive maintenance of training devices and infrastructure.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conducts repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
- Performs general inspections for pre‑operations, post‑operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components.
- Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators.
- Troubleshooting systems, support equipment to isolate faults and repair faulty components.
- Works under limited supervision.
- Develop and enhance existing processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement within ApAc Engineering.
- First line support to building and infrastructure systems.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Good level of experience with electronic/electrical systems/computers/networking/avionics.
- Excellent organization and computing skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Time served indentured apprenticeship (Simulator/Avionics/Electronics/Engineering).
- NVQ level 3 Electrical/Electronics/Avionics.
- Proficient with Microsoft office applications.
- Experience on flight simulators and training equipment.
- Experience with qualification test guide running and grading (QTG’s).
- Knowledge of the Military Air Environment and associated governance.
- HNC or higher Electronics/Avionics/Aircraft/Engineering.
This position will be based onsite full time and will operate on a shift pattern of alternate weeks of early shift (0700 – 1500) and late shift (1500-2300). This position is subject to contract award. Applications for this position will be accepted until Mar. 22, 2026.
