The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication, Production Engineering organization in Sheffield, UK is seeking an experienced Software Engineer–Developer to join the team.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer science or similar.
  • Experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, and MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with systems modeling, which could include energy systems, thermodynamic models, life cycle assessment, system dynamics, etc.
  • Academic or work experience focused on sustainable aviation or decarbonizing transportation or heavy industry.
  • Experience with alternative fuels for transportation such as sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen, or renewable electricity.
  • Experience with data visualization and communication.
  • Experience developing modeling and simulation tools as part of a team, including source control software (e.g. git).
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
