Role Overview: An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Boeing Defence UK (BDUK). The role will fall within the Supplier Management and Procurement (SM&P), Fixed Wing Major Subcontracts and Integrated Programme Team (IPT) based at either our Gosport or Bristol office site, with expected UK travel between Boeing sites. Additionally, this role is supporting a European contract requirement, and there is an expectation of European travel a few times a year.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the procurement and subcontract management of suppliers supporting a European customer requirement. Ensuring the performance of contracted obligations and stakeholder relationships, between the supply base and the business is managed. Boeing is seeking an expert procurement professional with procurement life-cycle experience to join the team as a Procurement Agent who will be able to:

  • Apply Sub-contract management techniques with critical major sub-contractors.
  • Manage supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance.
  • Translate operational requirements into supplier contractual documentation.
  • Identify, report and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Initiate supplier improvement activities and provide results for integration into contracting strategies.
  • Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions for products and services.
  • Prepare and execute proprietary information agreements.
  • Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Optimise execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
  • Perform continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within a Procurement or Supply Chain role within the Aerospace/Defence industry. Ideally, a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with Supplier contracts & deliverable performance. Experience working within an Engineering/Production environment. Experience of using SAP. Experience of supplier contract terms and conditions negotiations and creating a contractual document. Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience supporting cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and relationship skills, with an urgent operational focus are critical to be successful in this role. This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency. The successful candidate will hold, or have the ability to obtain, UK Security Clearance (SC).
