The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Maintenance Controller to join the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul & Upgrade (MRO & U) Services team supporting the P-8A Poseidon project in Edinburgh, South Australia.
The Maintenance Controller will report directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager and be responsible for the coordination and control of Depot Maintenance activity.
The primary focus for the role will be to facilitate the safe and timely execution of Depot maintenance & support modification to the fleet, by leading and assigning maintenance team resources as appropriate to prioritize tasking in order to meet the fleet maintenance plan.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and coordinate the daily activities on the P-8A Poseidon Depot Maintenance Aircraft, support equipment, including preventative, corrective maintenance and fleet modifications.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the fleet plan and aircraft maintenance schedules.
• Support the coordination of resources to deliver depot maintenance and modification programs, including manpower, materials, tooling, aircraft components and support equipment availability and suitability.
• Exercise and maintain a C MAML.
• Contribute to the training and development of maintenance team members through mentoring and technical leadership.
Experience/Qualifications
• Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics)
• Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
• Previous experience working on fixed wing aircraft
• C class MAML (or ability to obtain)
• B 1.1 or B2 class MAML (or ability to obtain)
• Experience coordinating maintenance activity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance, policies and procedures

Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for your whole life i.e. birth to present time.
