As part of the delivery of the UK MoD E7 Wedgetail Aircraft Support Provider contract, Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Mil AR Coordinator to conduct Military Airworthiness Reviews and ensure that all E7 Mil AR activity is carried out in accordance with RA4970 series and the applicable RAF Air Publications.

The BDUK E7 Mil AR Coordinator will provide direct assistance to the E7 CAMO Support Service (CAMSS) Lead, and will be responsible to the BDUK Fixed Wing Product Support Manager and RAF E7 Wedgetail Mil CAM (via Mil AR Manager and DCAM – Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager), as manpower substitution.

Responsibilities:
  • Being part of the BDUK Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Service (CAMSS) Team based at RAF Lossiemouth (Scotland), and the wider Engineering Product Support Team.
  • Being part of the RAF E7 Wedgetail Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation.
  • As directed by the Mil AR Manager, coordinate Mil AR activity on behalf of the Mil CAMO including liaising with CAMO Planning and Part 145 Organisations (MMO/AMO) to schedule and execute all Mil AR’s.
  • Provide the necessary support to the Mil CAMO that the Airworthiness Review process is completed IAW MRP for all E7 Wedgetail Air Systems.
  • Conduct E7 Mil AR’s in accordance with MRP RA4970 series, RAF Publications, and E7 Wedgetail CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition).
  • Carry out and produce the report for all required Mil AR’s on the E7 Wedgetail.
  • Carry out trending of all Major and Minor findings found during Mil AR’s activity and raise appropriate QORs (Quality Occurrence Reports) where trends against Major findings necessitate.
  • Provide SME advice to DCAM on any airworthiness issue discovered during the Mil AR process.
  • Provide SME advice and guidance to E7 Wedgetail Mil CAM, DCAM, FHQ (Force Headquarters) and DT (Delivery Team) for all Mil AR issues.
  • Support the Mil CAMO in the development, improvement and implementation of the E7 Wedgetail CAME and Military Continuing Airworthiness processes.
  • Support the development of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and appropriate dashboard to assist day to day management, performance monitoring and drive continuous improvement opportunities as they emerge.
  • Assisting other BDUK functions and capabilities that support the execution of the E7 Wedgetail E7 Mil CAM’s Part M responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the BDUK CAMSS team remain MRP compliant and have a positive contribution to the E7 Wedgetail Mil CAM’s approvals.
  • Ensure the correct and proper use of the BDUK QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Support the correct and proper use of the RAF QMS, supporting internal and external Quality Assurance activities (including MAA audits) and associated Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and corrective actions plan.
  • Ensure the correct and proper use of the BDUK SMS (Safety Management System).
  • Support the correct and proper use of the RAF SMS.
  • Attend relevant Mil CAMO and BDUK Engineering Meetings as required.
  • Support / conduct pre-delivery inspections on E-7 aircraft.
  • Support to produce the report for all required Mil AR’s on the E-7 Wedgetail.
Basic Qualifications & Competencies:
  • B737NG approved Type Rating course or E7 Wedgetail Mechanical or Avionic “Q” course.
  • Meet the experience and qualification requirements of RA4972 - Military Airworthiness Review Surveyors - MRP Part M Subpart I.
  • Significant Continuing Airworthiness Experience.
  • Minimum several years of experience in B737NG Air System Maintenance at supervisory level.
  • Have a level of competence deemed comparable to that required to hold an Authorization which would allow them to defer Corrective Maintenance by raising appropriate entries in the MOD Form 700C or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid CAA Part 66 Category B or C license or equivalent (for civilians).
