Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Tech Services Engineer to support new business requirements on the E-7 Wedgetail Aircraft. Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,400 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase.

Responsibilities:

  • As the E-7 Technical Services Engineer you are responsible to the Mil CAM for the accurate translation of complex technical instructions and requirements into the Mil CAMO environment.
  • Form part of ISTAR Air Wing Engineering (Lossiemouth) (IAWE (L)) Core Mil CAMO.
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Manage significant and repetitive defects to minimize operational disruption and longer technical investigations through to implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support the development of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and appropriate dashboard to assist day to day management, performance monitoring and drive continuous improvement opportunities as they emerge.
  • Provide tech support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) or critical technical issues.
  • Support the generation of RTIs, UTIs and CAMO Technical Instructions.
  • Aside from your technical work there is the potential to support company initiatives, for example, quality improvements, promoting a safety culture, promoting Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach and a number of focus projects to support the growth of the company and its employees.

Basic Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
  • A clear communicator with a can-do attitude who has the drive, commitment and passion to continuously improve the quality of service.
  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.
  • Proven ability to drive first time quality.
  • Human Factors & Error Management Continuation Training.
  • TR75: CAM Skills for a Defence CAMO.
  • TT08: Understanding Defence CAMO Regulations.
  • ASIMS User Training.
  • Resolve User Training.

Desirable Competences:

  • Airworthiness of Military Aircraft Course – Fundamentals (AMAC-F).
  • GOLDesp User Training.
  • Aircraft Exit/Entry Training.
  • EWIS Training.
  • E-7 Managers Course.
  • Engineering Degree qualified.
  • Baines Simmons Continuing Airworthiness - Effective Reliability Analysis – TT19M02.
  • Baines Simmons Continuing Airworthiness - Technical Services Skills – TT19M06.
