The Role
The Food & Beverage Assistant will be a key player in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our valued guests. You'll deliver amazing customer service, order management, and overall support to our food and beverage operations. Using your outstanding communication abilities and a positive demeanour, you will deliver an unparalleled service.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations when taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary requests are communicated to the kitchen.
- Set up and maintain dining areas, ensuring tables are clean and properly set with utensils, glassware, and tableware.
- Monitor and respond to guests' needs throughout their experience, including refilling drinks and clearing empty dishes.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of both guests and colleagues.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with integrity and precision.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.
- Support your team members during busy periods and special events.
Required Skills & Experience
- High school education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food & beverage or a similar role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
