The Role

As a key support to the Facilities Manager, you’ll help to ensure our properties shine with excellence.

You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of workmanship across all maintenance areas, strictly adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, system maintenance, and carpentry to ensure all facilities are inoptimalworking condition
  • Implement a preventive maintenance schedule toidentifyand address potential issues before they become major problems
  • Maintain outdoor areastoa high levelofcleanliness, including gardening, public areas, car park area and keeping the property appearance standards up
  • Diagnose issues, identifyroot causes, and implement effective solutions to resolve maintenance problems promptly
  • Respond promptly and efficiently tostaff &guest requests for maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, facilities, public areas, and attraction facilities
  • Maintain an organised inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance workand kee detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe and secure environment for guests and employees
  • Follow and adhere tosafety protocols andbe an advocate in and forregular safety training
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping, F&Band management, to coordinate maintenance activities that do not disrupt guest experiences
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in maintenance-related fieldsor industry experience to match this
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Proficiencyin basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations is a plus
