The Boars Head is seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary experience, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and have a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing daily food preparation, creating innovative menus, and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement menu ideas in collaboration with management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team atmosphere
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor cooking processes to guarantee timely delivery of dishes to customers
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety standards

  • Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques

Pay: £27,300.66-£34,889.32 per year
