Chetham’s School of Music is seeking people committed to pastoral care to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.
The job
- We are looking to appoint a School Counsellor, to join our friendly Medical Team to deliver an efficient and high-quality mental health care service for our students and Staff.
- Our School Counsellor is required during term time only.
- The position is for approximately 9 hours over 2 days each week.
- Flexible working hours are required during this time to meet the needs of our Students and Staff.
- We are looking for a mental health practitioner who can deliver a variety of therapeutic sessions to support individual students and staff.
- We are also looking for someone who is confident promoting positive mental health, wellbeing and resilience through a variety of topics for our school community. This may be in small group sessions or larger events like assemblies.
- Liaison with parents and staff within confidential boundaries is essential.

- You will be paid £6,559.17 per annum (£34,219.64 FTE)
