We’re looking for a strong Sous Chef to join the kitchen at The Blues Kitchen in London. The Blues Kitchen is known for bold, satisfying food done properly. Think the kind of dishes people crave and come back for: great steaks, award-winning buffalo wings, fresh ingredients cooked with care, and big flavours that keep people coming back. Our kitchens are busy, energetic places where quality and pace matter equally.

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to run a tight, organised kitchen that delivers consistently great food, even on the busiest nights. You’ll help lead the team on the pass, keep standards high, and make sure the food leaving the kitchen is something you’re proud of. This is a role for someone who loves proper cooking, enjoys leading a team, and thrives in a fast-moving London kitchen.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Lead services and manage the pass during busy shifts
  • Train and develop the kitchen team, helping junior chefs improve their craft
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
  • Manage prep, ordering and stock with the Head Chef
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation are always on point
  • Help build a positive, focused kitchen culture where everyone pulls together

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up
  • Confidence running busy services in a high-volume kitchen
  • A genuine love for fresh food, bold flavours and cooking things properly
  • Strong leadership and the ability to keep a team motivated during service
  • Solid understanding of food safety, stock control and kitchen organisation
  • Calm under pressure and proud of doing things properly
